After retiring from the Navy, Bruce embarked on a new way of life: living on a narrowboat in the canals. For many years, he loved traveling the canals on adventures. But as he grew older, he kept his narrowboat moored at the same spot. One day he meets William, who is young and as restless as he once was. He remembers what once led him to choose the narrowboat life. He welcomes William aboard and unties the narrowboat so together they can experience the joy and freedom of life on the water.
